Rail Chair (Clip Fit)

"Clip Fit Chair" – a PNP Railways original design manufactured from a strong engineering plastic. Specially designed to perfectly fit 5/8″ x 5/8″ (16mm) flat bottom aluminium rail. This chair is compatible with all standard scale sleepers in the PNP Railways range, providing maximum versatility for your garden railway project. Please note that this product is not suitable for wooden or recycled plastic sleepers.

Pair this Clip Fit Rail Chair with the following PNP Railway sleepers.

As its name implies it requires no screws to attach it to a sleeper, it clips into position in seconds. It’s prototypical shape and simulated square head screws, blend well with standard and narrow-gauge models.

Automatic Gauge Widening

As well as being very easy to assemble, using the plastic sleepers and chairs together provides automatic gauge widening.

Automatic gauge widening on curves is one of the many advantages of our system. Gauge widening can be accomplished either by rotating one chair 180 degrees to achieve a 1/32nd widening or by rotating both chairs 180 degrees to achieve a 1/16th widening.

All plastic sleepers and rail fixings in the PNP Railways range are manufactured from high-grade engineering polymers that are extremely durable and resistant to rot, frost, and UV radiation. UV stabilizers are added to the base polymers to help prevent UV radiation degradation and extend the life of the products.
